Well@Work Project

The Chronic Disease and the Obesity Taskforce merged in 2004 and was renamed the "Fitness & Hypertension Taskforce." This taskforce developed and implemented the 'Well@Work' project, which encouraged local worksites to implement worksite wellness programs that include physical activity, better nutrition and better management of hypertension. The purpose of the project was to increase the number of Louisville area businesses engaged in worksite wellness and determine if there was a positive impact on their employee health status and healthcare costs.
